CBD Edibles – Frequently Asked Questions
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a chemical compound that is extracted from hemp. It is just one of more than 100 different cannabinoids you will find in this plant.
This particular cannabinoid has caught the attention of the wellness industry with its potential therapeutic properties, offering a sense of calm and overall well being.
The answer is no. This is one of the biggest misconceptions. We can confirm that our CBD does not have the ability to produce any kind of psychoactive “high”.
This is because it only contains trace amounts of THC in some products and no Tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive ingredient of hemp in others.
Yes, they are legal in the UK as long as they do not contain more than 0.2% of THC. This is a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. For CBD products to be legally sold, they must also be derived from an industrial hemp strain.
This is a question that we get asked all of the time. Ultimately, it depends on your preference and whether you are interested in the bioavailability of your products. Certain products have varying degrees of effectiveness when it comes to getting CBD into your bloodstream. If you’re still a beginner, we believe that both oil and edibles can be excellent entry products.
CBD gummies and jelly domes are to be consumed orally. Whilst the bioavailability of the CBD edibles is typically lower than other products, such as oils, you can still extract plenty of therapeutic benefits from the consumption of edibles.
As with all products, we recommend starting small and slowly building your tolerance to see optimal effects. Each edible contains either 5 or 10mg of CBD. We recommend eating 1-2 edibles as needed. Do not exceed 20 sweets per day – excessive consumption may produce laxative effects.
To store your edibles, we suggest that you keep it in an upright position at a stable temperature, away from extreme light, heat, or moisture. A dry pantry cupboard is a great place to store your oil, or in the refrigerator.
